Bioinspired engineering is an emerging field that analyzes nature to develop better technology. We will demonstrate the power of natural design by examining how a gecko is able to stick to walls, and how this concept could be used in engineering.

Our group is currently studying existing bio-inspired designs as well as natural structures in order to develop a new bio-inspired material in the future.

What inspired you to make this project?
From our personal experiences, hands-on science exhibits were very influential on us as children. We want to inspire a new generation of children to become interested in STEM while educating them in a fun and interactive way.
